SCALPERS, a Spanish menswear brand hailing from Seville, will open its first UK store on Carnaby Street next month with a further four to five points of sale in the pipeline for London.
The brand whose name and logo is inspired by Native American Indians, is known for its tailoring which is designed by master tailor Borja Martin. Its collection is focused on three tenets; design, detail and “quirks”.
With prices ranging from £11 for socks to £360 for suits, Scalpers SS16 range comprises 650 pieces and includes “work to play” separates, from bright suits worn with braces, printed ties, tees, sweaters and fitted cropped trousers.
The brand has wide distribution outside of the UK with 220 wholesale accounts (in France, Portugal, Holland, Belgium, Switzerland, Italy, Columbia and Ecuador) and 29 stores (Spain, 18), (France, 1), (Portugal, 2), (Latin America, 6), (London, 1), (Amsterdam, 1). It is actively talking to department stores to increase its UK reach.
The Carnaby Street store will be organised over two floors and 132 sq ft; it will open early May with exact date yet to be confirmed.
