Bodywear brand sloggi has appointed Alex Cara as its new general manager for the UK, Nordics and Benelux (Cluster North); he joins the Triumph-owned business on 4 September.

Cara was mostly recently senior vice president of Copenhagen-based jewellery brand Pandora and prior to that held senior roles with brands such as Nike, Esprit and New Look. He brings 30 years of industry experience to his new role including “robust retail and ecommerce expertise” as the brand says it plans to expand aggressively in the North Cluster over the next year and beyond.

“It’s an incredibly exciting time for the sloggi brand, with the new brand vision and strategy ramping up in 2018 and several global launches of new product innovations in the pipeline. I can’t wait to join the team and help cement sloggi’s vision of becoming the world’s most revered everyday comfort brand,” Cara said.

Founded in 1979 sloggi is Europe’s best selling brief brand and its product range extends across intimate apparel for men and women as well as swimwear.
