The Industry meets Jigsaw CEO Peter Ruis, 9 January 2017

The Industry will stage an in conversation event with one of British fashion’s leading CEOs, Peter Ruis of Jigsaw, on the final day of London Fashion Week Men’s in January.

 Ruis will be taking part in an interview with The Industry editor in chief Lauretta Roberts and taking questions from the audience at the Grooming Room at Century Club, Shaftesbury Avenue from 4.30pm on Monday 9 January.

One of the high street’s best known leaders, Ruis began his career as a buyer for Marks & Spencer, before moving to Ted Baker, then Dockers and on to John Lewis where he was appointed executive buying and brand director. In 2013 Ruis was appointed CEO at premium retailer Jigsaw.

Ruis will be talking about his career, his views on the present and future for fashion retail and Jigsaw’s decision to begin opening standalone stores for menswear. Jigsaw, which was founded in 1972 by John Robinson and operates around 100 stores, is also the owner of multi-brand designer boutique The Shop at Bluebird in Chelsea and has just opened its latest “Emporium” in the St James’s Market development.
