Finery reveals Pineapple collaboration

Lauretta Roberts | 15th February 2017

Contemporary womenswear brand Finery has unveiled a capsule collection designed in collaboration with Pineapple Dance Studios founder, Debbie Moore OBE.

The ten-piece collection launches today exclusively at Selfridges and includes updates on the body, the ballet wrap, the dancer’s sweat, the slip dress and the legging.

It was inspired by Pineapple’s vast archive (the Dance Studios were founded in Covent Garden in 1979) and each piece is named after a ballet step. However Moore said that she didn’t want women to feel they had to dance in it.

“I’m really happy with the final collection and can’t wait to see some of our dancers wearing it in the studio – but the important thing is I don’t want women to feel like they have to wear this to dance in, it’s just as suitable to wear out and about too,” she said.

The colour palette is of muted pastels and each piece is made from fabric featuring “high Lycra content” to enhance the fit.
