Dune London has appointed James Radford as international and wholesale director to lead the footwear retailer’s international expansion.

Radford joins the business, which was founded 25 years ago by Daniel Rubin, from Fitflop where he was general manager for EMEA. He brings with him 20 years of experience in five continents and 40 markets.

Dune London CEO James Cox said the appointment came at “a very exciting time” for the business which has made global expansion a focal part of its growth strategy.

“James will be instrumental in the delivery of this plan by focusing efforts on specific markets with best in class support strategies and tactical initiatives which are regionally appropriate and perfectly aligned with our product and marketing investments,” Cox said.

In September Dune London opened 10 new locations in South America, a 33rd store in the Middle East and two new European stand-alone stores in Switzerland and Serbia.

“This is a significant step in our strategy to become the leading global affordable luxury footwear and accessories brand,” said chairman Daniel Rubin of the appointment. “We are delighted to have James join our board and fortunate to have extremely strong international networks and partners to ensure we continue to expand our global reach.”

4 days ago by indlondon Isn’t the whole point of fashion that you actually want to wear it? On that basis  @isabelmarant  SS18 was a complete triumph (and now men can wear it too). As we find ourselves becoming more and more allergic to the more ridiculous end of the fashion spectrum (those Saint Laurent bubble dresses anyone?), this show was a relief from the madness. 4 days ago by indlondon We’ll be honest… We were a bit worried about this one since we were such fans of the old  @chloe  but we needn’t have been concerned as Natacha Ramsay-Levi made an assured debut at Paris Fashion Week as the new creative head of the brand. A key concern for luxury brands is nailing the footwear and accessories and Ramsay-Levi updated the classic bags and introduced some great new footwear (pictured here). The ready to wear looks set to guarantee strong sales too. To see all the looks from the collection and to read our critique visit  @indlondon  home page (link…
  • So heres clever British retail technology company metailagram has teamedhellip
5 days ago by indlondon So here’s clever… British retail technology company  @metailagram  has teamed up with innovative German photography operation FFWI in a move that could revolutionise the way clothes are shot for online retailers. The detail partner’s Metail tech, which allows you to “try on” clothes online, with FFWI’s operation meaning clothes and models can be shot separately and “digitally dressed”. The picture above shows the results. Retailers can choose from a pool of model images, send in clothes to be shot and models can be dressed digitally eliminating the need for expensive and time consuming photo shoots.
