House of Fraser is to cut the number of brands it sells, relaunch its website and target older women customers in a revamp under its Chinese owner.
Frank Slevin, executive chairman of the store chain, said that the retail industry was in the midst of a transformational period and was being assaulted from all sides. The overhaul would help place House of Fraser at the forefront of the changes, he said.
