Industry advisor and famed illustrator, Daisy de Villeneuve commemorates the Olympics.
The Industry's Daisy de Villeneuve has been working on a special project for the London Olympics. As the queen of collectables, Daisy yesterday unveiled a celebratory set of drawings exclusively for VOGUE.COM. Penning the drawings from her Parisian apartment, the London-born illustrator was keen to pay homage to the Olympic Games taking place across the English Channel.
"The year 2012 has been an exciting year for London starting with the Queen's Jubilee. With the Olympics in my hometown, it seemed the perfect opportunity to illustrate sporting activities in my signature felt tip style," explains Daisy, who has previously worked on collaborations with the likes of Topshop, LVMH and the V&A.
Drawn in definitive Daisy style, the 11 illustrations capture the fun and vibrancy of the Olympic Games. "As I’m an avid collector, I especially thought that a collection of D de V Olympic images would be amusing," The Industry member adds.
